thus to arise amongst them doe for answer say that they cannot proceed
in Judgement to cause the Tennants to pay what they Steward
Demandeth of them, whenas the said Steward by force of Authorities

him what funds he Demandeth and the Tennants on the Contrarie part
Challenge their possessions to be Antient & Customarie pretending a

with the Honourable & Noble Favour of the Countess — as heretofore
they have had, in regard of all w^ch and Especially for that we are
admonished by Letters from the right Honourable the Lords of his Majesties
privie Counsell Dated the 9^th of July past past That if any such
Differences should arrise between the Tennants & her Lady Shipps
Officers the Court of his Majesties Exchequer is the proper place for
Determining thereof wee doe in all Dutifull Obedience forbear & for Crave[?]
