after the making of this Law or within Two Years after the
cause of suit and at no time afterwards any Law Custom or practice
to the Contrary in any wise notwithstanding — and your Reverence
had Jurisdiction to Determine such matter y^r appell^t humbly Conceives
that the s^d Oth Year was precluded from such Relief w^ch Laws as may
also appear by a Statute made in the Year 1736 [illegible] otherwise
order also Viz^t And bill further Ordained and Enacted by the
authority afores^d that any person or persons who now or hereafter
shall have any appeal or cause of appeal from any Decree order of this
Instance Judg^mt or proceeding of any the Courts or Magistrates of this
Isle whatsoever or from the Major to any superior Judge of appeals, —
shall and [illegible] obliged to prefer his or their appeal for acceptance
and enter into bonds person in order to an Effectual prosecution
within six months next after the Publication of this act or within
six months next after the Decree Order Sentence or Judgement is
made or given ag^t them or any of them, otherwise they and all persons
claiming under to be Excluded and Barrd (whether Plantif or Defend^t)
from the benefit of any appeal for ever after, any Law Custom usage
or practice to the Contrary notwithstanding, w^ch beforegoing Laws
and Statutes y^r appell^t pleaded and insisted before your Reverence
in Barr of the s^d Oth Years Subsequent unjust Demand, notwithstanding
such Salutary Laws as afores^d; Your Rev^ce was pleased to Order
as beforementioned ag^t your appell^t; and by which s^d Order your
appell^t conceives himself greatly Injured & aggrieved, and therefore
for relief in all and singular the premises —

Your appellant doth hereby appeal from your
Reverences s^d order bearing Date the 22 July Last
for Relief and Justice in the premises to the Hon^ble
Staff of Government praying your Reverences
acceptance of this appeal with a reasonable time
to prosecute the same, and he as bound shall—
ever pray &c

Jan: 17^th 1763.
Upon the Appell^t giving Bonds of £3 ad usum Dom
to the Constable of peel Castle that he will lay this Appeal
before the Hon^ble Staff of Government within twenty days
after the date hereof that his Hon^r may appoint a time
to hear y^e s^d Appeal; is to give the Adverse
Party due Notice; he is also to be prepared with
Authentick Copys of all the proceedings in this Cause
for his Hon^rs better Satisfaction in the premisses and
in case our Order of the 22^d July afores^d be affirmed
that he will Submit to the same under the penalty
therein mentioned. his Appeal upon these terms
is accepted.
