Do hereby Certifie that as I was on Duty at a Jury of Inquiry at the Knoll lane
in Kk Braddan at the Suit of Marg^t Crain; [above line: & his wife] Paul Crain who was Charged
to Appear before Jury, Begue to be unruly for which reason I was required by Dan:
Calvin and W^m Kelly to arrest Said Crain and his wife as Con^rs Duty [illegible]
which I arrested that they should not Strike on S^d Calvin and S^d Kelly, but
after S^d arrest being Executed, Said Crains wife Broke Said arrest in a riotous
manner Against S^d Calvin and S^d Kelly, throughwhich I was obliged to Charge
the following Guard W^m Cubbon Evan Cosson W^m and Charles Cowel of said parish
to Carry Said Crain and his wife to prison which the Guard neglected [above line: Charged]
this favor Aug^t 15^th 1796
