A group of shieling settlements found along the Cornaa Valley, Maughold. At least thirty-two shieling mounds are situated in the valley, which probably should be considered to belong to a single shieling.


This example is a mound built up to create a platform. Its diameter is 11.0 metres and height about 1.5 metres. There is no trace of stones. It is heavily overgrown with grass and fern and difficult to assess but is possibly a hut site.
