A small Wesleyan Methodist chapel which is shown on the 1869 1:2500 scale Ordnance Survey map. The chapel is now closed and in an overgrown, derelict condition. Also known as Close Rhennie or Lhoughdhoo chapel (grid reference SC357959), it began as a "sod" chapel established in 1815; the 1851 Religious Census recorded a rebuilt chapel dating from 1833 with 100 seats, holding services only on alternate weeks. It closed in 1971 and was subsequently used as a farm garage, entered through a demolished section of its east wall, with the front and sides now overgrown with brambles.
