Colby Corn Mill
Archaeology
Site of medieval water mill and associated water management.
The mill is first recorded in the 1511 manorial roll. The current mill building is still standing, and is recorded on the Ordnance Survey 1:2500 First Edition map of 1868 as a corn mill. Milling ceased in 1927. There are modern extensions attached to the mill, which is now a dwelling.
The millpond was located some distance upstream and is now filled in.
