Kentraugh Burial
Archaeology
A number of iron bolts were discovered within gravel deposits interpreted as a storm beach in 1967 at Kentraugh, close to the mouth of the stream.
It has been suggested that they may be nails or rivets from a viking ship, and as such may represent the remains of a Viking burial.
