Beinn y Phott Mine

Archaeology

The site of the Beinn y Phott lead mine which opened in 1866. The complex is shown on the 1870 1:2500 scale Ordnance Survey map. This is a distinct mine from the nearby Snaefell Mine, despite the two sharing an almost identical map coordinate.
