The site of an early medieval keeill and burial ground which is also probably the original location of a cross slab now held at the Manx Museum (cross-slab number 19). The cross slab itself was found near a wall about a quarter of a mile from the site of the keeill at the head of Ballaquayle Glen, and is carved with a cross-patee with limbs bordered by straight lines. In 1915, medieval lintel graves were also uncovered nearby during removal of a sod hedge field boundary ahead of the construction of a new school, aligned approximately north-east to south-west along the line of the existing road.
