The Garisson 5 Castle Street Castletown IM9 1LF
Place
The Garrison at 5 Castle Street occupies part of a row of houses that, per William Henry Cooper's account, may date back to 17th-century buildings recorded in Daniel King's 1643 drawings of the town, though the row underwent very radical rebuilding in more recent times, including its conversion into the Garrison wine bar. It now operates as a café, continuing Castle Street's long history as a mixed row of shops and dwellings close to Castle Rushen.
