Welch House, on Church Road in the heart of Onchan village, looks from the outside like a small chapel but was in fact built as an infants' school. It stands at the centre of Onchan's conservation area and was placed on the Protected Buildings Register on 11 September 1989. It has since been converted into private accommodation.
