This K6 telephone kiosk stands in Bride village and is an example of the classic cast-iron red telephone box designed by architect Sir Giles Gilbert Scott. Rolled out from 1936 to mark King George V's Silver Jubilee, the K6 became the standard telephone kiosk across Britain and the Isle of Man, and surviving examples like this one in the small farming village of Bride are now valued as protected pieces of twentieth-century street furniture.
