Margaret Letitia Josephine Kermode (18 September 1852 - 15 February 1937), who wrote under the pen name 'Cushag' (Manx for ragwort, the unofficial national flower), was a Manx dialect poet born in Ramsey. Her first collection, Poems by Cushag, appeared in 1907 and captured the speech and beliefs of Manx crofters in verse; she was a sister of P.M.C. Kermode, first Director of the Manx Museum, for whom she later kept house. A memorial to her was unveiled at Maughold churchyard in 1944.
