Robin Hugh Gibb (22 December 1949 - 20 May 2012) was a singer-songwriter, twin brother of Maurice Gibb, and a founding member of the Bee Gees, born in Douglas before the family emigrated. He maintained a lasting connection to the Island in later life, was made an honorary Freeman of Douglas, and opened the Rebecca House children's hospice on the Isle of Man with his wife Dwina in 2008. He was appointed CBE, and the Isle of Man Post Office issued a commemorative stamp series marking his solo career and Manx ties.
