Samuel Norris (11 July 1875 - d. unknown) was born in Tyldesley, Lancashire, and moved to the Isle of Man at 19 to work as a newspaper reporter, becoming the leading Manx political reformer of the early 20th century. In 1903 he founded the Manx National Reform League to campaign against the unelected power of the Governor and Council, and after his 1919 election to the House of Keys for North Douglas he drove through reforms including old-age pensions and the Married Women's Property Act. His memoirs remain a key primary source for early 20th-century Manx constitutional history.
