Wreck of the Passages, 1931
Event
The steam trawler Passages, returning from a successful fishing trip on a stormy evening in 1931, ran aground on Jurby Beach in pitch darkness and gale-force winds as it approached the Isle of Man. All 13 crew were saved, and the wreck remains a notable, well-preserved example on the island's coast.
