The Ballaharra Stones are the remains of a Neolithic chambered tomb discovered in 1971 during the extension of Ballaharra Sandpit and excavated by archaeologist Sheila Cregeen for the Manx Museum; the site was radiocarbon dated to around 2300 BC and is thought to belong to the same megalithic tradition as Cashtal yn Ard and King Orry's Grave. Four of the surviving stones were re-erected near St John's, opposite the parish church close to Tynwald Hill.
