Mooragh Park

Place

Mooragh Park in Ramsey was created from 1881 out of reclaimed swampy river-mouth land and mudflats by the Ramsey Town Commissioners, who laid out some forty acres of gardens and footpaths around a twelve-acre boating lake, the largest boating lake on the Island. Opened to the public in 1887, the park became a centrepiece of Ramsey's Victorian-era seaside amenities and today still offers boating, tennis, bowls and children's play facilities.
