The Rev. Paul Crebbin, Vicar of Kirk Santan, and one of Bishop Hildesley's translators.

He held the parish for thirty-three years, from about 1731, and died on 26 August 1764 aged fifty-nine. The register that records his burial records two of his children before him: Paul, buried on 2 October 1735 at the age of two, and Catharine, buried on 2 April 1758 at sixteen.

His name survives with the books. When Bishop Hildesley set the Manx clergy to putting the scriptures and the standard devotional works into Manx, the division of the work was recorded parish by parish: Lewis's Catechism fell to the Rev. Henry Corlett, and the Christian Monitor to Crebbin. His translation was printed in Manx and English at London in 1763, and Hildesley's memoirs note that this first edition was very eagerly received by the grateful natives.

He was among the working clergy of the diocese in the ordinary way. He signed the clergy's address to Bishop Hildesley as Vicar of Kirk Santan, with Archdeacon William Mylrea, the Vicars-General Robert Radcliffe and Matthias Curghey, and Philip Moore, chaplain of Douglas. He signed the clergy's address to James, Duke of Atholl, Lord of Man and the Isles, in the same character. The Rev. Charles Crebbin, vicar of the same parish from 1769, and William Crebbin, vicar of Jurby, belong to the same connection.
