The Rev. William Clucas, Rector of Bride and Vicar-General.

He held the rectory at the end of the eighteenth century, the last in a line that ran through John Roberts, a Parr, John Curghey, a Mylrea and Philip Moore before him. He was Vicar-General at the same time, and he farmed the Ballakilly estate. The parish register at Bride begins in 1693. In 1791 the Duke of Atholl gave five pounds British to the poor of the parish in memory of the deceased Duchess, and the visitor who recorded all this also noted the ages on the stones in Bride churchyard: seventy-three, seventy-four, seventy-seven, seventy-nine and eighty-four.
