Pope Pius II (1405-1464), in whose pontificate Laurentius was made Bishop of Sodor and Man.

The Manx tables of the bishops are laid out to be read across: the bishop's name, the year, the English king of the day, the archbishop, and the reigning pope. Laurentius stands thirty-fourth in that succession, at 1461, under Edward IV, with Pius II in the papal column. He follows Alexander Rawlinson, who had the see from 1445, and precedes Thomas Chambers, who had it from 1491 under Innocent VIII.

That is the whole of the Island's business with him in these sources. By that date the patronage of the bishopric had long gone with the lordship of Mann, having been granted with the Island itself, so the popes appear in the Manx lists as a means of dating a bishop's accession rather than as parties to his appointment.
