George Nugent-Temple-Grenville, first Marquess of Buckingham (1753-1813), son of the George Grenville who carried the Revesting Act, and a speaker on the Duke of Atholl's claim.

The claim came before the House of Lords on 5 July 1805, and the report of that debate lists him among those who spoke, with the Lord Chancellor twice, the Duke of Norfolk, the Duke of Montrose, Lord Holland, Lord Hawkesbury and the Earl of Suffolk. What was at issue was the Duke of Atholl's petition for further compensation for the rights his family had sold in 1765, and whether the charge should fall on the revenue of the Island or on the Consolidated Fund.
