Minnesota was among the American states where Manx emigrants settled during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The state's membership in the North American Manx Association reflects the broader pattern of Manx settlement across the upper Midwest.

It came well down the order. The standard survey of Manx settlement in the United States puts Ohio first and Illinois next, with Wisconsin some distance behind, then the mining areas of Montana, Wyoming and Arizona. Minnesota is named among the other states of any significance in the Middle West, with Iowa and Nebraska, alongside a few in the north-east, namely Massachusetts, New Jersey and Connecticut, and Utah, Colorado and the District of Columbia.
