This broken slab was found at Ronaldsway (IOMHER 0136.00) in 1935. It bears one, or possibly two, faintly scratched simple crosses. A hole has been pecked through the slab near the top. It was recovered during the levelling of the eastern part of Ronaldsway Aerodrome by the airport authorities in early 1935, works which were then under the supervision of Mr G. J. H. Neely, Inspector of Ancient Monuments for the Isle of Man. The levelling exposed a group of ancient lintel graves and two large stone-lined cists or chambers, together with a number of smelting pits containing iron-slag and charcoal nearby. The excavation findings, which had been ongoing for two summers, were presented to a British Association visit to the Island in September 1936.
