This fragment of a slab was found in 1908 close to the altar at Keeill Vreeshey (IOMHER 0734.00). It was subsequently lost some time between 1924 and 1932. It bore one limb of an incised cross. Keeill Vreeshey itself is a small early Manx chapel site dedicated to St Bridget, situated on the Garey, in the treen of Balyyeman, close to the Eyreton Road junction near Crosby in Marown parish. The 1908 Manx Archaeological Survey recorded the keeill (measuring roughly 16 feet by 9-10 feet, with walls up to 5 feet high, a doorway in the south wall and a window in the east wall) as being in a comparatively good state of preservation, set within an oval enclosure about 58 feet by 40 feet. A recess behind the altar has been suggested as a possible reliquary. A holy well nearby, Chibbyr Vreeshey, was formerly visited for its reputed healing properties into the twentieth century.
