The site of a small 19th century lead mine recorded along the Sulby River. Several small trial workings were recorded along Sulby River tributaries in the 19th century; one, at Pen-y-Phot about a mile south-west of Snaefell summit near the Sulby River headwaters, consisted of a level and shaft with substantial surface infrastructure including the ruins of a large wheel, but according to the mining engineer Warington Smyth it was 'started with fine plans, and then heart lost', and it is unclear whether conclusive trials were ever completed. It cannot be confirmed with certainty that this is the same working referred to in the current record.
