The parish church at Kirk Bride, dedicated to St Bridget. A church on this site is recorded from around 1200; the present building was substantially rebuilt in the 19th century, being consecrated in 1876 by Bishop Selwyn to a design by the architect Joseph Henry Christian. It contains an Adam and Eve stone - formerly part of the chancel floor and now set into an interior wall - one of only six such carved stones known in the British Isles. This record shares its mapped location with the separate Historic Environment Record entry for 'St Bridgets Church' (id 9079), which describes the earlier church that stood on the site before rebuilding; the two entries most likely refer to the same church at different periods, though this has not been independently confirmed.
