Lhergyrhenny Shieling Mound
Archaeology
One of a pair of mounds which have been described as possible medieval shieling mounds, but have also been interpreted as possible Bronze Age funerary barrows.
It appears to be a ditchless turf covered mound with a diameter of 9.0 metres and height of 0.4 metres and 0.5 metres. It is damaged by erosion.
It may be one of a pair of shieling mounds PRN 0448.00 recorded by P.S. Gelling.
