A Mesolithic occupation floor was identified beneath a later burial cairn (0097.00) during the construction of Alfred Pier in the late 19th century. Alfred Pier, Port St Mary's outer harbour breakwater, was built in 1882. No further published detail on the excavation or finds from the occupation floor itself has been located.
