The site of a 19th century Wesleyan Methodist Chapel in Santon parish. The first chapel on the site, known as Ballakelly Chapel, was built in 1810. In 1867 a new memorial chapel was completed nearby, funded and endowed by Esther Jane Clucas in memory of her brother Frederick Brew Clucas, an advocate practising in Ramsey and a member of the House of Keys, whose life had been saved by Methodist medical missionaries during an illness contracted while he was in Africa; he died in 1865. The new chapel was unusual for a Methodist building in having a cruciform plan with a transept. After the 1867 chapel opened, the original 1810 building was used as a Sunday school and hall; it was sold in 1965 and converted to a private residence. The 1867 memorial chapel (renamed Santon Methodist Memorial Chapel after Methodist Union in 1932) remained in use until it closed in the 1980s, and was itself converted into residential apartments by around 1995.
