How it works
Twelve sections, three laps
The course is split into twelve sections. Before each one you choose a gear and a power level.
One pit stop
You must stop once, at the end of lap 1 or lap 2. Fresh tyres cost a little extra time. Staying out gives you a flying start to the next lap.
Read the corner rating
Every section is rated 1 (flat out) to 10 (all corners). Gear multiplied by power is the speed you are asking for, and the higher the corner rating, the less the section will take.
Speed carries over
Get a section right and you carry that speed into the next one. Get it wrong and you start the next one on the back foot.
Push too hard and it costs you
Too much power or the wrong gear can mean running wide, which costs time and damages the tyres. Poor tyre conditions increase the chances of making a mistake or getting a puncture. A serious mistake ends the race early.
Your pit crew will help you
Every section has a target time. After each one the pit crew tell you how close you got and what to do about it.
Gear multiplied by power is the speed you are asking for. A tall gear will not pull through tight bends, so the higher the corner rating, the lower the gear you need.
More power is more speed, more wear on the tyres, and more strain on the engine. Buying speed with full power in a low gear costs you far more engine than gearing up for it.
Section
Pick your gear and power, then ride the section. The crew will have something to say about it.
